CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF LIVE EVENTS

As Creative Director of live events, Dean Karr and his crew take what is common and drab and transform it into a living and breathing high art concept that guests do not soon forget. Visitors in essence become part of the event, losing themselves in a dream of an alternate reality.

Karr and his team begin with an abstract vision. After drawing up blueprints, they oversee the construction of the larger-than-life sets and catwalks, and secure unusual musical talent to complete the experience. The end result is completely unexpected and often feels like a surreal dream, beautiful and unforgettable.

These events typically attract up to 2,500 people and are staged at amazing locations throughout the world. Previous clients have included Proctor & Gamble, NCompass, Sebastian International, Wella, Nioxin, Clairol and Vidal Sassoon.

This was an incredible anniversary party for Proctor & Gamble and Sebastian Professional. My role as Creative Director allowed me and my crew to design the apocalyptic runway, book talent (Prince Poppycock), design various interactive booths, perform a live photo shoot, design post-war cutting stations and much more!
